removing an application on facebook

i don't know how i got it - but there's a stupid application thingy on my homepage. I can't see how to get it off.

top right on your home page is my account drop down. Choose applications and you will get the page with all your apps on click on the x to delete

thanks i tried that but it wouldn't do it.
i went onto the actual page and saw the unlike opion.
that's done it. thank you ♥
