New keyboard but space bar wont work, help

Hi all just got a new keyboard but the space bar wont work am using laptop now to ask question The keyboard is an I.T. works, any ideas anyone? Many thanks in advance xx

1) Does it connect to a PS/2 socket or USB port?

2) Did it come with a driver / setup CD?

3) Are you able to connect it to your laptop? If you can and the spacebar doesn't work on that, it may simply be faulty. Or, if it's second hand, it may just need a clean...

Hi, thanks for responding so quickly, yes keyboard is as shown, USB port and no, no driver or set up disk, only bought this afternoon

In which case, I suggest you package it back up and take it back to the shop. Tell them it's faulty and ask for a replacement, or your money back.
