My Win XP computer shows all desk top ikons as organisations' logos. My Win 7 notebook will only display desk top ikons as world globes with titling. The logos make recognition easier as well as being more interesting. Any advice would be appreciated.

If it's icons that you want to change. Right click the icon,select Properties,select Change icon,select Browse and navigate to Windows/System32/moricons.dll where you will find a selection of icons.
Some icons don't offer the choice of change
