running DOS computer game on XP

Use Compatibility mode. Right click the program, select properties then compatibilty. Try useing the windows 95 setting and go from there. Having said that, this doesnt always work. Some times the game developer releases a patch for it to work in XP. Or google "my game windows xp" - someone may have done one unofficially, like they did for the tomb raider games.
