a panel has appeared on my computer saying,there is a problem with your sound device ...how can I re install this please...

Download the drivers from the computer manufacturers website and install them.

That's a monitor, not a computer.

How do I know what model it just says LG,

look for a sticker on the main box that all the cables plug into.

though now I am a little confused, the hp pavilion f1523 is a monitor, and LG make monitors and not computers!

There's no stickers anywhere the LG is on the re-writer & DVD drawer.
