I have just bought a new Belkin router,Is there an ideal position in relation to the PC and monitor, because nearly every time I boot up it doesn't find the net and I have to disconnect it for 10 seconds or more before it does so????? Thanks!!

So this PC is connected via a LAN cable to PC Lan socket .. or wireless?
We had a Belkin router that did this up to 5 times a week. We cut our losses and switched to Netgear (both were /are kept in the next room to the laptop). Don't have this problem anymore.
We have a Belkin, and to be fair it needs to be reset about once a month or less, we run one desktop hardwired, and two laptops wirelessly, and it's fine!....................
I was going to say .. connect with LAN cable, and try out for a while.
If you want to see the specs of your connection open a new browser window and click in the url bar on top and type 192.168.2.1 This will take you to the belkin site and show all the whats and whyfores of you particular modem connection.
