squarde/cubed sign on publisher?

i have microsoft office 2007 and need a squared and cubed symbol inserting, but can't find how to do them. please help. its not the end of the world if i can't, i'll have to write thme in afterwards but it will look neater if they are typed in.

Type it in word and copy and paste it in the publisher file?
Under the font you will find superscript which you can use on the '2' or the '3'

hold down Alt and type 251 then release the Alt key. √√

Alt 0179 ³ = cubed
Alt 253 ² = square

oops, i put the square root smybol,.............shuffles off to sit in the corner.. :-)

weal, when i do that, the computer jsut makes a ding noise.

and word comes up iwth, do you want to save your work.
I cant test it because i dont have publisher, but just do it on word then copy and past the symbol on to publisher, thisi may work.

i just said, wheni do it in word, it dings, then comes up with the save your document screen.
are you holding down the Alt key when you type the numbers, press the Alt key and keep it presses whilst you type the number, then release the Alt key.
I just tried and found if you just press and release the Alt key and then type the numbers it bings becauce you have highlighted the word file on the top left of the word document.

i was holding alt down.
they are only a normal 2 and 3 in superscript

Press ctrl and the = key to turn on superscript, type a number 2 or 3 and then do ctrl and = to turn superscript off again.

a ha, doign it your way doesn't work, but i found the superscript button and that works, thanks.
