Has anyone tried the new Google Chrome browser?
Would there be any significant advantage in changing from Firefox?

Try it and see - it's entirely a matter of personal choice. I hate it because it's bare-bones, but that's precisely why some people like it.
Its main advantages, currently, are twofold:

1) Its markup and JavaScript rendering engines are good; lighter than Firefox's, with equal or sometimes better standards support.

2) Each tab is its own process.

Firefox's chief advantage comes in the form of its add-ons system.
You could have a look at Apple's Safari 4 - free for Mac or PC via the Apple website... claims to be the fastest browser around... has some nice visual features...

Thanks for replies. Think I'll stick with Firefox for the time being and see how Chrome pans out.
