Hi there....

I'm not too much of a techy person so bare with me please.

The time has come to upgrade to new TV and have seen this one:

One of the features that I like is the usb port. (are there any other TV's out there that have this yet?)... I'm thinking maybe no more having to burn off DVDs, great?

Also been looking to buy an external hardrive as my laptop is nearly full to limit with movies, music etc.

So my question is.... is there an external hardrive that I can have permantly plugged into the usb port of tv and then then send all my files over wirlessly? Without having to have the computer on when I want to watch a movie or acess the hardrive?

Think I need something like this, but looking at the date of advert it looks a bit old 2007?:

Would I also need to upgrade my router...I have a standard o2 wirless box 2 at the minute?

Thank you for your help and hope all that makes sense, been in PC world and comet and no one seems to have a clue what I'm going on about!

Forgot to mention........... there is no BT/phone point near the TV and router is other room. So if it means needing to have the router plugged in next to Tv then its a no go........ would be too much of a nightmare trying to get a point there
it supports wireless

but I'd get the telly - get to know it - then add the bits and bobs later - it look like you want a nas attached streamer - but if the TV is also a player - a straight uPnP nas or even just a usb HDD is a better and cheaper option

and you could prove that with a memory stick before you shoot your wad
