Alternative to the iPhone?

I want to get a phone that will enable me to easily keep upto date with twitter without costing the earth, any suggestions?

Firstly whatever happens do not buy the iphone . Apples OS cant beat Nokia Symbians S60.

Nokia E71 is your best choice. There tons of applications for it. If you want twitter, Then download gravity S60v3
