why is waol.exe trying to send information from my computer?

It's not spyware, it's part of your AOL software, which would obviously need to access the internet.

If you are having problems with it, go to the support pages on the AOL website.

One of the many reason never to use AOL as an ISP ever is the fact that this is SPYWARE.....by definition any program on your PC which collects info and sends it back without your permission, stealing your bandwidth is spyware.......Delete all traces of it from your PC and change your ISP.
