SKY Box switching off

Can anyone please help me. Ever since we got our new TV in January our SKY+ box seems to have been playing off. If you are watching something off the planner for example it can suddenly just turn the screen black, totally freeze - then switch the box to stand-by mode - and a lot of the time it wont come on un-less you turn the power off and re-boot it. Also if we are watching analogue channels away from Sky the box keeps going back to stand-by mode and when you turn it back on it's always on their demonstration channel 998 - it's really frustrating!! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, thank-you

I have multiroom Sky+HD & when my 12 month contract with Sky ended I took out their Skybox insurance.
I am so glad I did because I started getting problems with 1 of the boxes in February & so far I have had to have 4 replacement boxes fitted & at the moment everything is ok. I am making this point because when you contract with Sky you buy the box,which means of course after your initial 12 months Sky are not responsible for maintaining it,so any problems are down to yourself.Ron.

I don't believe there is anything wrong with our box though, I think it is something else possibly?
