Unequal margins

When working in a Word document my margins are set equally at 3.17 cm yet when I print, I have a larger than usual left hand margin.  I have tried scaling the paper to size but its still the same.  I had this problem a few weeks ago and it suddenly came right on its own - don't know why it's gone again.

Go to page properties where you set the margin sizes ( File > Page Setup ) and there should be a box that says 'Gutter'. Try changing that to '0' to even out the page.
