I have connected my tv, video, digital receiver and x box together. The TV has two scarts, the digi box also has two, the video has one as does the x box. When the video is on there is no picture when the digi box is also on. The video and digital TV reception both come through the ext 1 on the TV. I can't seem to record digital tv. Where am I going wrong?!

I have almost exactly the same set-up (but PS2 instead of Xbox) and it works fine for me. Have you made sure the video is switched over to AV or EXT or whatever, rather than BBC or ITV? That should stop it overriding Sky and enable you to record.

You would normally have to select the Auxillary channel on your VCR.  Unless its pretty old there should be something like an Aux button on your VCR's remote. Press that and you should get your digi signal through the VCR.  (Don't forget that once you're recording don't change channels on your digi box)

Hammer beat me to it!

It may be the way I've connected it all together. Should the aerial input be in the digital receiver then a scart to the video from the digi box and an aerial connector to the tv?
