Hello

My Toshiba laptop is on its way out !! It still works (well sometimes), apparently it is fluid damage and many to repair. My only concern is how to save my photo's to a disk, the disk drive has stopped working!!! Can I buy a mobile disk drive ? Will look to buy another laptop in a couple of months. Any guidance appreciated, Thank You.

Yes. Provided you have a USB port that works the a Memory Stick is ideal.

You can get them in different sizes (capacityies).
if the disc dive (as in HDD) isn't working ... hou are up the whatsit without a whatnot
or neck deep in the doo dah
either way ... you aren't going to get anything off your machine.

one of these

or one of these http://www.google.co.uk/products?sourceid=navc lient&hl=en-GB&rlz=1T4GPTB_en-GBGB294GB298&q=u sb%20to%20hdd%20adaptor&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab =wf

might get the disc working ... and allow you to recover your stuff
as AC said if the hard drive has failed then you've had it...

if the drive is still OK then get an external USB enclosure for a laptop hard drive (like one below) remove drive from laptop and put into caddy, you can then get all your pictures off it and your left with a handy external USB hard drive at the end of it too.
