I've installed this all-in-one copier/printer/scanner. I can get it to print and copy, but not scan. I've checked the hp website for the usual "it might be this..." and everything is as it should be except there is no icon on the desktop, on the list of programmes there's no reference to hp, and there's no little thingy in the bottom right-hand corner of my screen. It shows up as installed in "printers" and "scanners". I've tried re-booting and am just about to uninstall and reinstall. Does anyone have any other ideas before I do this please?

Hi Misky1. I have a HP F2180 and I have no trouble scanning.
If You have installed the software from the CD supplied you should see a programme called HP on programmes when you click on Start.
Click on HP and a list of further items will appear alongside the HP. Click on HP Support Centre and you should seea window open up which will allow you to either Scan Picture or scan document or make copies.Good Luck.
Sorry this is a bit late but I have only just read it.
