Apple's new in ear headphones are pretty good.
I have a pair of Shure E3C's which are amazing; you can possibly find them on ebay for about £50.

I'll third the Shures, though I've got the E2C's. Got mine on Amazon for £35 if I remember rightly.

(I meant the brand new apple in-ear headphones, just released. The older ones aren't that good.)
The Ety's are also good, but again, even more expensive.
Note that the 'canal 'phones', like the E3C's mentioned above, aren't great for walking about or (especially) eating food at the same time with. The seal is so good that you hear every single footstep or jaw movement.
