if you can get an internet connection in your garage then yes but then you'd need to leave a computer in the garage with the camera attached to it..
Wireless CCTV may be possible if its less then a 100metres or so... but tricky and probably not reliable unless you spend a lot of money.

Well you can get mobile broadband, unless you have a very expensive car and nothing better to do than watch it, I think insurance is going to be cheaper than a laptop, webcam, and mobile broadband subscription.

Yea thanks for those answers, interesting stuff. My garage does hold expensive items, also a large stock. I do live some miles from it. I understand that there is a free network for webcams but not sure which service! Is it a IP network cam I should be thinking of?? I also want to be able to check it whilst abroad using 3g. Thanks.
