I run two monitors form one PC. I have 2 DVI outputs though I use an adapter in one of them to run a VGA monitor without any problems at all. Just a quick look at the back of the PC will tell you if there are 2 outputs or not.

This may help. It is for Windows XP, but the hardware principles are the same.
By the way, I did a quick search on Google for "two monitors" and got loads of examples of how to set it up.

I've been running two monitors since it first becanme possible (in W98). Almost all decent video cards these days will allow two monitors. Like scaniavabis, all 3 of my machines (XP Vista and Ubuntu) have double outlet cards, each with a DVI and an analog socket, and on all of them I use a DVI - D19 adaptor to connect the second monitor.
My cards are all nVidia of various types.

Thanks for all your answers. So if my PC has a VGA out and a DVI out, and the monitors have VGA in, I just need to buy a DVI to VGA cable to connect the second one.
