using quicktime player to watch home movies

i have just been bought a digital camcorder and although i have installed quicktime player on my pc so i can watch my videos, they won't play continuosly. it's more the sound that is the problems as it keeps breaking even when the video is playing fine. any ideas what i can do to fix this?

Quicktime supports only mp4 and mov video, please make sure your camcorder video is compatible with quicktime.
Or you may download VLC player, it's a nice free powerful video player, go and google search for it,
Or you may convert your video to wmv video, then you can play it with windows media player, and here is a guide about how to convert video
