Any ideas how to uninstall Norton 2009?

We have downloaded the norton removal tool but computer keeps freezing, we have been in contact with symantec but they don't seem to have been any help either.

Does anyone know how to get rid of Norton?

...also, and apologies in advance if it is Norton, is it actually Norton Antivirus 2009 that is a problem, or have you inadvertently downloaded Antivirus 2009 (which is malware)?

Any decent package allows you to uninstall it. Go Start, all programs and look for Norton. There should be a link to uninstall it.
