Music on pc's

When I play something on my pc and I have other normal programmes running I get tgis sound effect that sounds like a record that repeats itself very quickly - anyone know what this might be ?

you need to get another sound card if the one you are using is internal (or the built in one)its causing a conflict. In the UK cards are as little as �6 so its a cheap option,and dont forget if your soundcar is internal go into the bios and turn it off.Hope this helps
