timer recording on dvd recorder

cannot make the jump from ext1 to the actual programme no.for freeview programmes. Can you help. Thank you.

Don't quite understand the question. Freeview is normally viewed on an EXT channel anyway (at least if you have a separate digi box)

If freeview is built into the telly, and you only have one tunerin that, then your DVD recorder is using the only channel available and you cannot select another one.

What is your set up? If your dvd recorder does not have its own digital tuner, the only way to set a recording is by doing it manually -

Set the channel as EXT1, the date and times.

Your freeview box must be turned on to the channel you want to record.
