I just bought this box and it said it had up to 180hours of recording time on it. it only had 43 but I found out (from AB ,where else!) that I should delete the programmes I didn't want, to free space. I deleted all the Top Up progs. as I just wanted Freeview & the recording facility anyway, but I still only have 67hours. Is this the best I will get, or is there a way to get more? TIA Shirl

When it says "upto 180 hours" it means that's the maximum you will get if you change all the recording settings to the lowest quality.

Higher quality means more space used, play about with the quality settings and see if your happy with a lower setting then yes you will get more.
Lower settings is good enough for most programmes - it is roughly video quality.

If you watch programmes where better quality is appreciated such as wildlife documentaries, then change the settings for those.

Thank you Chuck and Ethel, I appreciate your help, Shirl
If you go to customize topuptv in the menu page and de-select the channels you do not want this will free up your hard disk.
