add and remove on my computer

my computer will not let me remove programmes from it. it comes up with install not responding. have i got a bug and if so what can i do, thanks for any help

It may be just a problem with the uninstall part of whatever program you are trying to uninstall . In which case this should work

before you install more progs .... try reinstalling the reluctant prog .... default settings...
reboot and then uninstall - often works.
