Outlook problem

I use MS Outlook and have rules to copy emails into different folders etc. Recently I get a message saying unable to open outlook.pst It has lost all the folders and copies of received and sent mail.
I set it to regularly archive the inbox, is there any way to recover the archives? or repair the lost/corrupted file?
Also lost all my contacts.

Hi Billy, although this post is very old but I would like to add. Due to some virus attack PST file may got corrupt. Yes you can recover all your contacts and data from PST file. First you can use Microsoft In-build Inbox repair tool to solve recover PST file. In case recovered PST file has some data loss then you can try to opt for Stellar Phoenix PST Recovery Software to repair pst file completely.
