stopping some one texting you

I keep getting this text message that i want to stop. I have text to ask them but they just won't . How can I stop them?

I can block numbers on my mobile phone so that phone number can't text or call me.

Does your mobile have that facility?

Once you've let them know that you do not want to receive texts from them, it is illegal for them to persist with sending texts. It is harassment.

Send them one more text to let them know that you will report them if they text you again and follow up your threat if they do not desist.

I used to receive unsolicited texts which were threatening and harassing. I reported them to the police who were very sympathetic. Unfortunately my service provider could not 'block' numbers. (Ethel I would be interested to know what handset you use)

My service provider changed my mobile number free of charge which solved the problem for me.
