I keep having problems with my comp, it runs so slow and internet explorer seems to always have 'experienced a problem' and is forced to close, also, programs tend to stop responding and I always have to Ctr alt del. The main problem is I have set my home page to 'ivillage' but whenever I load up IE it goes to something called 'Fastsearch', it is really annoying, I can't seem to get rid of it. I ran a virus cleaner from avant, and Spybot search and destroy, I thought this would solve my problems but it hasn't. What do I do?

I'm no expert but I think Fastsearch only appears when the site can't be found. If you change your home page to something else, does the problem disappear? If so, you know what to do!
Cinderelli, I Googled for "FastSearch Removal", and found this web-page; http://www.pchell.com/support/fastsearch.shtml It looks like FastSearch is a varient of Cool Web Search. Click the link and download CW Shredder from the link on the page. Hope this helps.

Thanks for your response.:) Headtime, that got rid of it, thank you SO much, I just wonder why Spybot never got rid of it. Also, back in my original post I mentioned my computer keeps crashing, I always seem to get 'Cannot find server' aswell and this message at the bottom: res://C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\SHDOCLC.DLL/dnserror.htm#, what is going on, it is so annoying!
Sorry cinderelli - didn't mean to mislead you. I'll get me coat. :-(

Yes you do that! ;) Not really, I appreciate you trying to help, you cannot always be right!
Cinderelli, copy and paste "res://C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\SHDOCLC.DLL/dnserror.htm#," with the inverted commas into google, it comes up with over 900 pages, many of which have advice on rectifying the problem. Good luck.
Contact the forum at: http://www.just2good.co.uk/ There's nothing they dont seem to be able to answer. Good luck
Just ignore this guy with his shameless Just2Good recommendations. It's an absolutly terrible site.
