I've downlaoded a RealPlayer from America to listen to Radio Two on my PC, and I can't find how to make it work. I know there's a simple answer to this - can someone advise me please?

Try this.
Go to http://www.bbc.co.uk/radio2
and click on the listen link in the "on air now" box.
an audio player should launch automatically.
This worked for me as I was listening to Humphrey Lyttelton as I was typing this
