Before making a warranty claim, I wondered whether any AB-ers had any suggestions. While charging the 710 (mains) I switched it on. The tom-tom logo appeared but was almost immediately replaced by a blank silver screen. The on/off switch will neither turn it off nor have any other effect whatsoever, and I'm left staring at a glowing blank silver screen until the battery runs out. Any ideas out there?

Thanks neildownx. I don't think there is a reset unfortunately. It's made more complicated by the fact that it was plugged into the computer at the same time and I wonder if that caused an added problem. It also occurs to me that there may be a reset function over the computer link. Does anybody know?

Thanks again neildownx, I followed the instructions and now have a fully operational 710 again! There is nothing in the supplied operating instructions which mentions resetting, so I'm very grateful to you for pointing it out.
