Toshiba Laptop Power Connection

Has anyone had a problem with the connection where the male part of the power cable goes into the female connection on the laptop. mine wiggles when its inserted and my laptop wont start. i have held it at different angles and once had the fan make a slight movement but then it all stopped. any ideas?
