My Toshiba laptop will not allow me to run System Restore via the normal channels.Any ideas?

How so? Have you got any restore points? Has System Restore been turned off?

Hi Paul,
System Restore is not turned off. Irrespective of which boldened date I click on I still get the message back that System Restore cannot be done.

What is the exact message you get?

Also, have you tried turning off any anti-virus software?
