I have puy the video from a mini dvd on to my computer.How can I transfer it into an editing software programme such as Pinnacle studio?

What format did you use - VOB? If so,then, unless you have the very latest version of Pinnacle Studio (if it can import VOB), go out and get Serif MoviePlus 5 - this can import from VOB (or even fom DVD directly, I think).
