My hard drive has crashed and I cannot retrieve my i tunes library and play list, i have downloaded i tunes again, but it seems a different format. How can I transfer the music from my ipod nano to my new haed drive?

Go to download.com and download idump, this lets you do what you want.
Use something like yamipod:

Fo3nix is probably on the ball with his suggestion but it's www.download.com, the search for idump, it's really easy to use, I use it myself.

Thanks lads I have just wiped my iPod clean. Not your fault and a lot of the music was crap anyway.
