My friend has a fishpond and recently the water has turned "red".The plants are thriving but it's killing the fish.Has anyone any answers to this please?

I would do a 1/4 water change a/s/a/p
and again in 2 days time
The recent hot weather is the main problem.
The water is not getting enough oxegen also it sounds like the filter is not doing its job.
Check the filter or by one if u can afford one get it with a uv light.

Have u cheched the ph of the water ?
If not take a sample of your water to a decent garden centre or pet store,they will check it.
And tell you which products to buy
