copying photos to CD

I have arranged my photos in a folder on my computer according to the date that they were taken on holiday. When I copy them to a CD the computer organises them in alphabetical order on the CD thus a slide show is in the wrong sequence.
How can I copy them to a CD in the correct order?

Not knowing how many photos you are talking about so I don't know how practical it would be but couldn't you rename them with dates. eg 01/03/07, 02/03/07 It would then place them in numerical order wouldn't it which is what you want.

Thank you for your answer, which would solve the problem.
I just wondered if the computer settings could be adjusted for the pictures to be copied in date order automatically.
