MSN Messenger 6 can't see my Creative Labs webcam even though it is listed in the 'Scanners and cameras' section of control panel and is recognised by NetMeeting ( which I believe is what MSN 5 used to use for webchat ). I am using windows 2000, and have had no problems with previous versions of messenger. Any ideas please ?

Have you tried configuring your proxy setting? try them on a http proxy. It could also be a firewall problem. If your computer is behind a firewall on version 6 it will not allow you to broadcast a webcam. Also make sure in the 'options' part of msn messenger (go to tools, options) that you have enabled the sharing of your webcam with others (you should tick the box). The same thing happened to me and i have a creative labs webcam. If all else fails delete and re-install the driver for the webcam.

Does anyone happen to know how to get webcam to work if you are using a minolta x20 digital camera connected to your usb port? i also need it to work with msn 6

help :'(
