Does anyone own a hand held personal organiser? There do not seem to be many in the shops , so it's hard to check the features , although I have heard of a make called palm. I have parkinsons and find it difficult to write. I wondered if this may be useful?

Dell Axims are good models. I own two. I own a Dell Axim X30 and a Dell Axim X3. I am going to get a Dell Axim X51 for christmas. These run the Windows Mobile Operating System. Palm also make them, but they have less functionalaity. I reccomend Pocket PC over Palm Any Day
I have had many PDAs (personal digital assistants) and although I favoured those using the Palm operating system they seem to have rather fallen by the wayside. If I understand correctly a symptom of Parkinson's is an inability to acurately control the fingers, if so then PDAs are not likely to help much since they either rely on using a stylus smaller than a pen on a small screen or a very small keyboard. That said almost all of them allow you to enter information on your computer (which you can apparently do) and then have that information synchronised to the handheld. In terms of practical use and development I would have to say that those PDAs based on the Windows Mobile system would be most available and supported these days. Any good computer shop should be able to assist you.
