Amongst the many items of rubbish I receive I've just been informed that I've won $1.6 million in an online lottery. All I need to do is send them my bank details and I'll get the money. Ha,ha - I don't think so! Is there such a thing as a list of e-mail addresses of law enforcement agencies in various countries who might be interested in collecting messages of a criminal nature, does anyone know?

Re the african scam - this guy had a lot of fun playing them at their own game:http://www.africanscam.co.uk/
I often recive these type of 'scam' emails.I got one last week from a company called the international lottery informing me that I had won 5 million dollars.I did some searching on the internet, and this is definately a con.If you reply to this email, you are asked to pay a 1.5% tax on the winnings, and once they have received your cheque, they will send your winnings.Needless to say, I binned the email.
allen crisp - worth forwarding the email to your ISP -- abuse@ISPNAME. And maybe the mail company the email comes from - ie if it's from [email protected], forward it to [email protected].
smorodina - top reading! i often wondered how the scam would work. Anyway this site makes good Friday afternoon reading!
Yeah I seem to be getting more and more of the african scam ones. They were talking about it on the radio the other day and there were actually people ringing in saying they had lost vast sums of money. I cant believe anybody could be that stupid. I always reply and say send me a handling fee of 1000 in to my paypal account but so far no luck.
