Norton antivirus, upgrade or renew?

Hello, I currently have norton antivirus 9.0 for my mac, osx 10.3. I am due to update my antivirus and didnt know whether to just renew the 9.0 or upgradeto the 10.0. What are the advantages/disadvantages? I have found some info about the 10.0 and says someting about a global dashboard but that can only be used with tiger and I dont have that. Any advice would be ideal please. Many thanks, Kate

Don bother with Norton. It can cause real problems. Macs on OSX have NO viruses at present. If you really want a virus checker ClamXav is free and work much better than the Norton crap.

I'd second that Norton is over-priced and resource hungry. I use NOD32, have a look at that.
