Can Tesco refure to redeem their saver stamps in cash? There are no terms and conditions on their cards - nothing which says 'not redeemable for cash". Neither does it state that the stamps may ONLY be redeemed against purchases. Thank you.

It will say somewhere that the cash value is 0.000000000001 p or something so when you have 100 million of them you can have 1p!

Yes they can they make the stamps and the rules as with all retail the management reserve the right to refuse service for any reason.

Many thanks for your answer but I think I made my question unclear for which I apologise. The saver stamps in question are part of their saving scheme where you buy 1 stamps to affix to a savings card (effectively you have exchanged a coin for a stamp). On their card they state that "you can redeem the card at all times....and the amount you have saved will be deducted from your shopping bill". ( It does no say will ONLY be redeemed.) Neither does it say anything to the effect that the stamps may not be redeemed for cash. I know for a fact that under Morrisons same-type scheme that you can do so. I just wonder if legally they are able to withold a cash repayment. I would have thought that they should have produced Terms & Conditions to be clearly shown on their cards. I hope this helps and look forward to hearing further. Thanks again.
