1.Before the interview day he tried the "Home to work journey " on a quiet Sunday. 2. He didn't leave for work on time. 3. He trys alternative quicker routes & gets lost. 4.He's not sure of the quickest direct route to work. 5.You are organised & know how long, journeys really take. 6.You leave home far too early, with enough time to stop at a cafe & read six newspapers. Which one is correct or a few of them? or is yours a Lateral thinking question?
Because you work from home and your colleague has difficulty getting there?
Because "traffice" is very sticky?
Perhaps you live within walking distance of your work and Keith lives 20 miles away. Also, are we to assume that both you and Keith work at the same place ?

I have to admit that he lives 80 miles away and i live a mile and a half....my point is that he always comes in 1/2 hour late - why doesnt he learn to leave 1/2 hour earlier to get here........ madness - but then so's this question..
Being of a similar nature to Keith myself, all I can say in his possible defense is that when the logic of caluclating travelling time is outweighed by the desire to get those extra z's - I'm afraid late is the only option. Especially if travelling a long distance. Although, 80 miles ! I'd move.
