after scanning with windows defender i get a message saying there is a serious fault called C2Lop but it can`t remove it because of error Ox80501001.
does any one know what this means and can it be removed.

Apparently, it is because the software that you are trying to remove is in the system restore area, best thing is to turn off system restore - right click on the "my computer" icon, select properties then click the system restore tab, tick the box that says turn off system restore on all drives, click apply.

Repeat defender scan and restart system restore.
