I am going on holiday to Portugal and would like to keep up with world affairs via the radio, preferably the BBC World Service.

What type of radio do I need to buy, and how can I tune in to the station?

Thanks,
Ashdown.

Any shortwave radio will do - here is an example:

LW 198 has a very long range but not sure if it will reach Portugal
That being the one at the bottom of the page!!
