Converting MPEG layered 3 files to MPEG 4

I just purchased a Sansa E250 video mp3 player and all my videos are MPEG3 format. The Sansa E250 only accepts MPEG1, 2 & 4. Any advice on how to convert MPEG 3 to any of those formats? Thanks!!
