Has anyone heard of an email hoax where someone gets your name and email address off a site like 'friends reunited' and contacts you asking for personal details as they are trying to trace a long lost relative with the same name as you who lived near where you went to school? If so are they after information like your mother and fathers name to use in credit card scams or the like?I think I may have fallen for this hook line and sinker and am now worried if it was genuine or someone acting maliciously.

If you havn't looked on this website yet parkhead, I would be inclined to get over there pretty quickly because they are always the first to know about any scams - I do hope it doesn't apply to you. http://www.snopes.com/index.html
