well if you use firefox, use only one window with many tabs. but even if you don't want to do that, there's always:

gmail notifier (get it from where all the other extensions can be found)

google's windows gmail notifier (sits on your taskbar, not in the browser)

I was registered with answerbank last year, but after the new year I have been unable to get access to the site using the password and user name I have always used. Is there a reason why.
