video phone as webcam?

My mate has got a NEC 3 video-camera phone, it's 2 yrs old with a usb lead 4 downloadin images to his Pc. What i would like 2 no is; can he use the phone as a webcam & how would u go about settin it up.It came with no CD-rom but i'm sure their must be a way...
