Is it worth getting my PS2 chipped with a messiah chip? how much sould it cost the chip + installation? anyone got any horror stories?

i have a ps2 and one of my mates chipped, and now he's out of the action, he cant watch dvd's and save some games. He cant even watch the movies you open on THPS3 in the long run i wouldnt do it, besides the feds might come to your house one day..ha ha, i wouldnt do it and it costs about �60
