When opening Facebook with Firefox the site doesn't want to load, instead cycling through various photos a bit like a fast slideshow.

It's okay on Edge although the content always seems to be old.

Any clues for me?

Maybe a Facebook extension or adblock/popup blocker is interfering with FB.

That's one of the reasons I use different browsers for different things

It's a fairly recent thing, Barry, and nothing else has been changed in the meantime.

Browsers and extensions do update in the background
